An exceptional, museum-grade piece of history: an original vintage metal WWII Soviet presentation cigarette case, produced in the USSR by the famous Metallodetal Factory (Завод «Металлодеталь») and personalized during the height of the Great Patriotic War in 1942.
The front panel is decorated with a beautiful all-over diamond-pattern wavy guilloché texturing, adding an elegant Art Deco flair. The upper-left corner features an incredibly rare, historically significant personalized hand-engraved dedicatory inscription in elegant Cyrillic cursive script:
"Дударев Н.И. г. Барнаул 6.4.42 г." (Dudarev N.I., city of Barnaul, April 6, 1942).
