Vintage Soviet mechanical wristwatch ZiM, manufactured by the Maslennikov Watch Factory (ЗИМ) during the USSR era.

This highly unique dress watch stands out due to its compelling personal military history. The stainless steel snap-on caseback features a beautifully preserved, original Soviet hand-engraved celebratory gift inscription: “Любимому Ванечке в день Советской Армии от Веры 23.02.1977 г.” (To my beloved Vanechka on Soviet Army Day from Vera, February 23, 1977).

The timepiece showcases an elegant round case with an appealing two-tone aesthetic, combining a polished chrome-plated central bezel with gold-toned/gilded lugs. The light silver-cream dial is adorned with applied gold-toned rectangular hour indices, polished hands, and an independent sub-seconds register with a radiating "sunburst/sector" pattern at the 6 o'clock position. It is signed with the cursive Cyrillic "Зим" logo and "СДЕЛАНО В СССР" at the bottom. Inside beats the historically significant Pobeda Caliber 2602 manual-wind movement with 15 ruby jewels, stamped with the factory caliber mark and serial number 22399.
