Vintage pocket aluminum cigarette case produced in the USSR during the 1960s–1970s, featuring a highly unusual and collectible graphic design dedicated to Soviet traffic rules (ПДД) and road safety education.
The front of the case showcases a fascinating schematic illustration engraved on a finely textured scratch-resistant matte background. On the left side, a prominent vertical traffic light is depicted. The center and right sections show a multi-lane roadway layout demonstrating a traffic accident, where one classic Soviet sedan car has rear-ended another under a street lamp. Below the crash scene, additional technical driving schematics demonstrate vehicle positioning and parking garage lanes. This incredibly unique period-themed accessory features a polished silver-tone finish with an authentic aged patina.
This vintage cigarette case has been restored: the metal has been cleaned and polished, minor touch-ups have been applied where the original finish was lost, and, if needed, the internal elastic bands have been replaced. The original aesthetics have been preserved, making it a great addition to any collection. The side locking mechanism is completed with a mechanical push-button closure.
