Vintage Soviet mechanical wristwatch Sportivnie (Спортивные), manufactured by the legendary 1st Moscow Watch Factory named after Kirov (1МЧЗ / later known as Poljot) during the USSR era (1950s/1960s).

This highly sought-after and collectible timepiece was originally designed for athletes, military personnel, and sports officials who required precision timing. It features a fascinating and rare "stop-second" (hacking) function — pulling out the crown stops the central seconds hand entirely, allowing for exact down-to-the-second time synchronization.

The watch showcases a beautiful, historic light cream/beige military-style dial with a distinctive heavy vintage patina. It is decorated with golden Arabic numerals, a fine outer tracking ring, and the signature graphic illustration of a running athlete below the "Спортивные" script. Housed in a round chrome-plated case with elegant flowing lugs, it is powered by a high-grade 17-jewel manual-wind movement, beautifully decorated with the iconic diamond-shaped 1МЧЗ factory stamp, stars on the ratchet wheel, and serial number 315538.

Features:

  • Soviet mechanical manual-wind movement with military-grade hacking/stop-second complication
  • High-grade caliber with 17 ruby jewels, proudly stamped with the 1МЧЗ factory logo
  • Historic Manufacturer: 1st Moscow Watch Factory (1МЧЗ им. Кирова)
  • Iconic light cream / beige "Sportivnie" dial featuring a running athlete motif and full Arabic numeral layout
  • Golden hour markers, polished hands, and a contrast bright red central seconds hand
  • Round chrome-plated case with classic sleek tapered lugs
  • Original stainless steel ring-lock secured caseback engraved with historic Russian text: "ПЫЛЕВЛАГОНЕПРОНИЦАЕМЫЕ" (Dust and Water Protected) and "БАЛАНС АМОРТИЗИРОВАННЫЙ" (Shockproof Balance)
  • Paired with a premium black leather strap with alligator-grain texture

Condition:

  • Professionally serviced, cleaned, and oiled by a watchmaker
  • Runs well, keeps good vintage time, and the rare stop-second hacking feature functions exactly as intended
  • Chrome-plated case, bezel, and crystal show honest, heavy signs of age, edge wear, and authentic minor scratches that add incredible mid-century character and provenance
  • The original cream dial features a prominent, uniform vintage patina and fine aging textures that verify its historic untouched nature and add incredible vintage appeal
  • The 17-jewel movement is exceptionally clean, fully genuine, and functions smoothly

The watch is photographed in detail, including its inner mechanical movement and engraved caseback, allowing collectors to carefully examine the condition and craftsmanship.
