Vintage Soviet Brown Carbolite Bakelite Cigarette Case | USSR Mid-Century Fluted Plastic Tobacciana

Vintage Soviet pocket cigarette case crafted from early durable plastic—traditionally referred to in the USSR as Carbolite (Карболит) or Bakelite.

This piece stands out with its minimalist mid-century aesthetic, showcasing a deep chocolate brown hue with subtle organic undertones characteristic of early compression-molded plastics. The exterior is formed with a classic ribbed or fluted horizontal wave design, providing a highly tactile, non-slip, and ergonomic grip. The second photo demonstrates the open structure, highlighting the interior slots matching the fluted exterior form to keep individual cigarettes securely nestled.
