Vintage pocket metal snuffbox (or compact pocket cigarette case) produced in the USSR by the historic Pobeda Artel in Odessa, Ukraine.
The front lid of the silver-tone metal case features a classic, highly artistic high-relief depiction celebrating traditional smoking culture. The prominent central artwork showcases a beautifully curved tobacco smoking pipe with a detailed dot-pattern band around its bowl, puffing out stylized, dimensional curls of smoke. The pipe stem rests against a background garland layout of carved oak leaves and small acorns, symbolizing longevity and strength. The entire design features a smooth, rounded edge silhouette crafted from premium metal with a polished silver-tone finish and an authentic aged patina.
This vintage snuffbox has been restored: the metal has been cleaned and polished, minor touch-ups have been applied where the original finish was lost, and, if needed, the internal secure components have been serviced.
