Vintage pocket cigarette case produced in the USSR by the historic Lenemalier Artel (Leningrad Enameler, founded in 1929), featuring a beautifully stylized mid-century graphic illustration dedicated to competitive rowing and canoeing.
The front of the case showcases three distinct racing boats with synchronized rowing crews slicing through the water, arranged vertically on a highly detailed, textured bark or rippled-wave background. This rare sporting souvenir captures the classic mid-century Soviet obsession with water sports and athletic achievement, displaying an authentic aged patina.
This vintage cigarette case has been restored: the metal has been cleaned and polished, minor touch-ups have been applied where the original finish was lost, and, if needed, the internal elastic bands have been replaced. The original aesthetics have been preserved, making it a great addition to any collection. Inside, the case carries the authentic historical factory hallmark: "ЛЭ". The side locking mechanism is completed with a mechanical push-button.
