Vintage RAKETA (Ракета) mechanical wristwatch produced in the USSR by the Petrodvorets Watch Factory.
This elegant mid-century Soviet dress watch features a beautiful, classic champagne-silver sunburst dial adorned with distinctive raised gold-tone indices, matching slim hands, and stylized hour markers at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock positions. The dial is branded in cursive English for the export market ("Raketa" and "16 JEWELS"). Housed in a round chrome-plated case with a classic slim profile. It is driven by the legendary and robust manually wound Raketa Caliber 2609 mechanical movement with 16 ruby jewels, which proudly carries the historic Petrodvorets factory stylized logo stamp (the "double hammer/crown" outline) and the Cyrillic engraving "16 КАМНЕЙ 2609" on the bridge.
