Original vintage metal cigarette case showcasing a sophisticated geometric layout and a fascinating industrial history. Produced in Czechoslovakia around the 1930s–1950s.
The front of the case features an elegant, multi-zoned engine-turned texture. The central band is decorated with a dense diamond-cut guilloché pattern, beautifully flanked by sleek horizontal borders and crisp vertical striped columns along the parameters. The design includes an unengraved polished rectangular matrix traditionally meant for custom initials or monograms.
Unique Historical Feature:
The inner panel retains its crisp, authentic dark ink company/union stamp: "OES – OTAVSKÝ ELEKTRÁRENSKÝ SVAZ PÍSEK" (Otava Power Union in the historic town of Písek). This union operated regional electrical infrastructure, including the famous Písek Hydroelectric Power Plant, which is the oldest functional public hydro-power plant in Bohemia. This makes the piece an incredible crossover collectible blending premium vintage tobacciana with early European industrial history.
