Vintage pocket cigarette case produced in the USSR by the historic Mosshtamp Plant, featuring an exceptionally detailed and sharp high-relief artistic depiction of the famous Monument to Minin and Pozharsky on Red Square in Moscow.
The front of the case showcases the iconic bronze sculptural group originally created by Ivan Martos, depicting Kuzma Minin standing with his arm raised high, calling on the people, and Prince Dmitry Pozharsky resting on his shield with a detailed relief face motif while holding a sword. The heroic figures are positioned on a raised pedestal. Directly below the pedestal, an elegant blank ribbon scroll banner is wrapped around decorative branch flourishes, left open for custom engraving. This highly collectible piece features a refined silver-tone finish with an authentic aged patina.
This vintage cigarette case has been restored: the metal has been cleaned and polished, minor touch-ups have been applied where the original finish was lost, and, if needed, the internal elastic bands have been replaced. The original aesthetics have been preserved, making it a great addition to any collection. The side locking mechanism is completed with a mechanical push-button closure.
