Vintage pocket cigarette case (or card holder case) produced as a premium travel souvenir during the 1950s–1960s, featuring a highly intricate, historically detailed engraved geographic map of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The front of the silver-tone case showcases a beautifully sharp, finely etched cartographic layout mapping major cities, water channels, and regions across England, Wales, and Scotland. In the upper right section, the geographic theme is anchored by a vibrant, multi-colored cloisonné enamel inlay shield depicting the traditional seaside coat of arms of the town of Margate. The upper border is cleanly engraved with the text "GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND". This highly collectible mid-century British souvenir piece features a smooth polished finish with an authentic aged patina.
The side locking mechanism is completed with a mechanical push-button closure.
