Vintage pocket cigarette case produced in the USSR, featuring a sophisticated engine-turned geometric design inspired by traditional Slavic folk embroidery textile patterns.
The front of the silver-tone case showcases a beautifully structured mid-century layout. The central vertical stripe contains an intricate, repeating pattern of vertical textured lines that form a diamond and cross-shaped tribal embroidery silhouette. This central motif is flanked by rows of dense micro-checkered stipple lines. In the upper left corner, a smooth, blank rectangular shield element (cartouche) is seamlessly integrated, left open and ready for custom engraving of the owner's initials or a personalized dedicatory inscription. This highly collectible piece features a refined silver-tone finish with an authentic aged patina.
This vintage cigarette case has been restored: the metal has been cleaned and polished, minor touch-ups have been applied where the original finish was lost, and, if needed, the internal elastic bands have been replaced. The original aesthetics have been preserved, making it a great addition to any collection. The side locking mechanism is completed with a mechanical push-button closure.
