Vintage pocket metal cigarette case produced in Eastern Europe during the mid-20th century, beautifully crafted as a premium travel souvenir dedicated to the historic state of Czechoslovakia (Československo).
The front of the polished silver-tone metal case showcases an exceptionally intricate, finely etched geographic map layout of the Czechoslovak nation. The engraving clearly maps out major historic cities and regional hubs across Bohemia, Moravia, and Slovakia, including Praha (Prague), Brno, Bratislava, Plzeň, Liberec, Pardubice, Žilina, B. Bystrica, and Košice. In the upper right corner, a circular bas-relief medallion captures a scenic architectural silhouette of Prague's historic spires and castle structures. The lower left section features a clean rectangular plaque reading "ČESKOSLOVENSKO", positioned directly above a smooth, blank rectangular monogram shield (cartouche) left open for custom initials engraving. The piece displays a wonderful authentic vintage character with a reflective polished finish and a rich aged patina.
The side locking mechanism is completed with a mechanical push-button closure.
