Vintage pocket cigarette case produced in the USSR, featuring a historic and highly detailed relief artistic depiction of the legendary protected cruiser Aurora, commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the October Revolution.
The front of the case showcases a sharp architectural and maritime landscape, featuring the cruiser Aurora floating on textured rippling waves. Smoke curls from its bow gun, recreating the historic signal shot fired in Petrograd. In the background, the detailed classical facade of the Winter Palace or embankment architecture is visible. The top of the scene is dramatically framed by a large waving flag bearing the embossed commemorative inscription "25 ОКТЯБРЯ" (October 25). This highly collectible mid-century souvenir piece features a smooth silver-tone finish with an authentic aged patina.
This vintage cigarette case has been restored: the metal has been cleaned and polished, minor touch-ups have been applied where the original finish was lost, and, if needed, the internal elastic bands have been replaced. The original aesthetics have been preserved, making it a great addition to any collection. The side locking mechanism is completed with a mechanical push-button closure.
