Vintage pocket cigarette case produced in the USSR during the second half of the 20th century, beautifully capturing a wildlife scene dedicated to the famous Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve in the Belorussian SSR (BSSR).
The front of the case showcases a stunning, crisp high-relief artistic profile bust of a wild moose (elk) with large antlers. The majestic animal is set against a densely detailed background texture entirely filled with repeating, embossed oak leaves and tiny acorns, recreating a forest habitat. Near the bottom border, the commemorative landmark inscription "ЗАПОВЕДНИК • БССР" (Reserve • BSSR) is embossed in a clean, stylized Cyrillic block font. This highly collectible wildlife souvenir piece features a polished silver-tone finish with an authentic aged patina.
This vintage cigarette case has been restored: the metal has been cleaned and polished, minor touch-ups have been applied where the original finish was lost, and, if needed, the internal elastic bands have been replaced. The original aesthetics have been preserved, making it a great addition to any collection. The side locking mechanism is completed with a mechanical push-button closure.
