Original vintage metal cigarette case showcasing a historically significant Soviet propaganda artwork dedicated to the construction of the BAM — Baikal-Amur Mainline (Байкало-Амурская магистраль), famously dubbed the "Project of the Century". Produced in the USSR around the 1970s.
The front of the case features a highly detailed, deeply engraved graphic composition celebrating the heroic spirit of Soviet youth and the industrial conquest of Siberia. It depicts a young male and female Komsomol volunteer builder walking forward in work attire and a protective hard hat, standing next to a stylized newly built wooden taiga housing block and Siberian pine/fir trees. The upper center is boldly engraved with the iconic Cyrillic acronym "БАМ".
