This large, impressive piece of Soviet currency is a masterpiece of classic numismatic design. The left side features a highly detailed, engraved oval portrait of Vladimir Lenin, framed by ornate laurels. The top center features the official USSR state coat of arms with 16 ribbons, representing the 16 Soviet republics of that time. The denomination is elegantly translated into the official languages of all the republics in the lower cartouche. This specific specimen carries the dual crisp red serial numbers "эг 354948" and the year 1947 at the bottom.
