Original 5 Rubles State Treasury Note (Государственный казначейский билет СССР), officially dated 1938.
Issued during the peak of late-1930s Soviet industrial and military mobilization, this historic note is celebrated for its striking propaganda and aviation artwork. The right side features a highly detailed, fine-line engraving of a Soviet aviator/pilot (Лётчик) in complete flight gear and parachute harness, standing proudly in front of an airplane propeller. The top left features the official pre-war State Emblem of the USSR with 11 ribbons.
