A highly specialized, rare, and deeply historical philatelic collection from the early Soviet era (RSFSR and Georgia SSR / Transcaucasian SFSR), tracking the dramatic monetary reforms and hyperinflation period of 1922–1923.
The left section features an absolute exhibition-class centerpiece: a 6-stamp vertical combination block (3x2 layout) of the "100 Rub. 1923" provisional surcharge applied over Imperial Russian revenue bases, preserving a spectacular Tête-Bêche (inverted head-to-tail) printing variety where the bottom row is completely upside down relative to the top. The top right highlights two distinct, highly sought-after Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic 1-Ruble customs/duty stamps ("Poshlina / Bazhi") inscribed with localized text and early state emblems. The center is completed by large-format emergency fiscal modifications, including the 25-Ruble and 100-Ruble 1922 provisional currency conversions overprinted on imperial frames. The central 100-Ruble copy bears an authentic period violet postal cancellation, while the rest beautifully preserve Mint Hinged (MH) collection status on the reverse.
