A highly specialized and historically compelling collection of vintage postage stamps issued by the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic and the Transcaucasian SFSR during the dramatic hyperinflation and currency transition period of 1922–1923.
The left side of this layout is dominated by a premium large block of 16 stamps (4x4 sheet segment) of the 10-kopeck first definitive imperforate issue, showcasing the sickle and hammer within traditional Georgian ornamentation. The lower section highlights two separate vertical pairs of stamps bearing bold black "5000 Man." (Manat) provisional overprints. The right and center areas beautifully complete the set with a selection of single high-denomination hyperinflation surcharges (ranging from 10,000 to 40,000 values) overprinted on regional bases. Select stamps bear authentic period postmarks and postal cancellations from their window of commercial use, while beautifully preserving Mint Hinged (MH) collection status on the reverse.
