A historically rich collection of vintage postage stamps from the early Soviet era, capturing the crucial transitional, recovery, and relief periods of the RSFSR and early USSR between 1921 and 1923.
The centerpiece of this layout is a beautiful selection of the scarce 1923 stamps overprinted for the First All-Russian Agricultural and Handicraft-Industrial Exhibition in Moscow, showcasing new denominations in gold currency standard ("zolotom"). The bottom row highlights two prominent large-format charity stamps from the famous 1921 RSFSR Famine Relief (Pomgol) series issued to aid the Volga region, depicting food transport via train and steamship, alongside the "Liberated Proletarian" high ruble definitive. Select stamps bear authentic period postmarks and postal cancellations from their window of commercial use, while preserving Mint Hinged (MH) collection status on the reverse.
