Original vintage 250 Rubles Local Exchange Token (Разменный билет Narodnogo Banka g. Zhitomira / Разменный билет Народного Банка г. Житомира) dated 1920. This highly collectible regional banknote represents the chaotic emergency money (bohn) circulation period in Ukraine during the post-Revolutionary Civil War era.
Printed locally for the Zhytomyr branch of the State/People's Bank, the note features a striking greenish-blue protective underprint mesh, traditional decorative garlands, and distinct corner panels with the denomination "250". The central text confirms its backing by state credit notes stored in the Zhytomyr treasury vaults, topped by the signatures of the local Governor (Управляющий) and Cashier (Кассир).
Features:
- 1x Original vintage Ukrainian regional emergency banknote (Bohn)
- Year of Issue: 1920 (Circulated during the Ukrainian Civil War period)
- Issuer: Zhytomyr Branch of the People's Bank (Житомирское Отделение Народного Банка)
