An exceptional and highly specialized historical collection of vintage postage stamps issued during the Russian Civil War period (1919) by the Western Volunteer Army (Bermont-Avalov Army / Westarmee) operating in the Baltic region.
This rare philatelic set stands out for its comprehensive variety, showcasing both the imperforate (unperforated) and scarce perforated variants featuring the classic "Russian Post" (Russkaya Pochta) inscription with the double-headed eagle and a central cross. A major highlight of this collection is the prominent 50-kopeck stamp in the second row featuring the rare, historic black two-line overprint "Edinstvo i Svoboda" (Unity and Freedom). All stamps are in premium Mint Hinged (MH) condition with full original character, clean margins, and no cancellation marks.
Features:
- Set of 22 vintage stamps
- Authentic Western Volunteer Army (Bermont-Avalov) Civil War issues
- Circa 1919 Baltic intervention era
- Features both imperforate (16 stamps) and perforated (6 stamps) design variations
- Includes the highly sought-after "Unity and Freedom" (Edinstvo i Svoboda) historical overprint
