Historic regional currency artifact from the Russian Civil War era: an original 200 Rubles Treasury Note (Билетъ Государственнаго Казначейства), officially issued in 1919 under the High Command of the Armed Forces of South Russia (Вооруженные Силы Юга России - ВСЮР) led by General Anton Denikin.
Highly celebrated among numismatists and historical collectors, this currency was produced to stabilize Southern Russia's economy during the total breakdown of central banking lines. The top center features a powerful fine-line engraving of the provisional double-headed eagle rising above a banner inscribed "Единая Россія" (United Russia). The intricate baroque layout is flanked by columns with decorative medallions enclosing the "200" numerals and the year "1919", preserving the printed signatures of the Finance Administration directors (Bernatzky).
Features:
- 1 single authentic historical Civil War regional banknote
- Year of Issue: 1919 (Russian Civil War / South Russia White Army Era)
- Issuer: High Command of the Armed Forces of South Russia (ВСЮР / Denikin Issue)
- Denomination: 200 Rubles / Двѣсти Рублей
- Serial Number / Prefix: ЯА-005 (Visible typography stamps symmetrically placed on the face)
- Artwork: Features the United Russia eagle crest, heavy baroque border pillars, and dense security lace weaves
- Condition: Circulated historic paper grade showing true vintage character, full untrimmed borders, handling folds, soft corners, and genuine aged patina as pictured
A fascinating collectible for:
- Russian Civil War, regional White Guard, and anti-communist military movement collectors
- Banknote and paper money specialists (bonistics / provisional emergency regional cash)
- Graphic arts, neoclassical illustration, and early 20th-century secure engraving curators
- Southern Russian and Ukrainian historical research archives
The banknote is photographed in clear detail against a white background so collectors can closely inspect the fine geometric safety screens, detailed textures, signatures, and authentic border conditions. You will receive the exact item shown in the photo.
Please note:
- This is an original vintage wartime numismatic item from 1919, not a modern replica or photocopy.
- Natural signs of circulation, light handling folds, soft corners, and age-related paper toning are present due to its authentic historical background.
- Carefully packed flat with heavy-duty protective backing and shipped worldwide from Ukraine.
