A highly collectible historical collection of vintage postage stamps from the turbulent early years of Azerbaijan, spanning the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR) and the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic (1919–1922).
This rare philatelic set features early imperforate and definitive issues with beautiful dual inscriptions in Arabic script and French (République d'Azerbaïdjan). The classic designs showcase famous national landmarks, including the iconic Maiden Tower in Baku and the ancient Ateshgah Fire Temple, alongside early Soviet allegories of workers and soldiers. Notably, the collection includes the scarce 1921 Azerbaijan SSR Famine Relief (Pomgol) charity stamp issued to aid the Volga region. All stamps are in premium Mint Hinged (MH) condition with full original character, clean borders, and no cancellation marks.

Features:

  • Set of 17 vintage stamps
  • Authentic early Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR) & Soviet Azerbaijan issues
  • Circa 1919–1922 post-WWI and revolutionary era
  • Features iconic designs: Baku Maiden Tower, Ateshgah Fire Temple, and local allegories
