This specialized type set focuses entirely on classic Imperial Russian definitive stamps heavily modified with early Ukrainian provisional overprints. The iconic black and violet overprints showcase different regional types of the Ukrainian National Trident (Tryzub) emblem. The top row features highly sought-after large-format ruble values (including 1-ruble and 3.50-ruble bases) bearing bold national overprints, alongside a scarce Wrangel's Russian Army "10,000 Rubles" overprint. The lower rows expand the collection with a comprehensive study of low and mid-denomination kopeck issues with various handstruck and printed trident matrices (including Kharkiv, Podolia, Odessa, and Kyiv styles). Select pieces bear authentic period postmarks and postal cancellations from their window of commercial use, while beautifully preserving Mint Hinged (MH) collection status on the reverse.
