A highly specialized and historically unique collection of antique postage stamps from the Russian Empire, issued during the 1913 Romanov Dynasty Tercentenary jubilee and later modified by emergency overprints during the revolutionary hyperinflation era.
The top row showcases a beautiful study of shades for the definitive portrait issues, including two distinct color pressings of Tsar Michael I (10-kopeck value) and two variants of Emperor Nicholas I (15-kopeck value). The lower section features Tsar Alexis (20-kopeck value) alongside a rare provisional run of three Peter the Great 1-kopeck bases heavily overprinted with a bold black "1" (1-Ruble) emergency surcharge. Select items bear light period postal markings, while the rest preserve Mint Hinged (MH) collection status on the reverse.
