A magnificent and extensive historical collection of antique definitive postage stamps from the Russian Empire, dating from the late tsarist era and Romanov period (1889–1917).
The left side of the layout is highlighted by a premium vertical strip of 3 large-format 1-Ruble stamps featuring their original intact wide sheet margins/coupons. The top and middle sections showcase a compelling run of high-value definitive issues, including the large 3.50-Ruble, 5-Ruble, 7-Ruble, 10-Ruble, and scarce 25-Ruble values. The bottom rows are completed by a uniform assembly of low-value kopeck definitives adorned with the classic Imperial double-headed eagle and crossed postal horns. A significant majority of the stamps in this collection bear authentic period postal cancellations and town postmarks, while beautifully preserving Mint Hinged (MH) collection status on the reverse.
Features:
- Set of 33 antique stamps
- Authentic Russian Empire definitive issues from the late 19th to early 20th century
- Includes a distinct vertical strip of 3 (1-Ruble value) with rare intact paper margins/coupons
