A highly significant and rare historical collection of vintage postage stamps from the Western Ukrainian People's Republic (ZUNR / WUPR), issued during the chaotic post-WWI and independence struggle era in 1919.
This specialized philatelic set focuses entirely on the famous Kolomyia provisional overprints (also linked to the Pokuttia regional administration). The stamps are composed of Austrian definitive bases modified locally with crisp black overprints showcasing the Ukrainian National Trident (Tryzub) emblem and new values. The layout stands out for its exceptional block format, featuring two distinct authentic quarter blocks of 4 stamps (10-Lei/Leva and 3-Lei/Leva values), a neat horizontal pair of 12-Lei stamps, and a lower assembly showcasing beautiful shade duplicates and a scarce 90-Lei denomination. All items are in premium unused Mint Hinged (MH) condition with full original character, crisp overprint alignment, and no cancellation marks.
